HI All,
Well an update on my lipoedema bandage treatment it has been going well I have lost a total of 7 cm in total so far. Although it is still bandaged up and I really hope to have the stockings fitted soon it would be a nightmare it this was during a heatwave.
The IBS is really up and down so much. Dreadful bloated stomach and then several trips to the toilet to the point you are sore in going so much. I feel drained when this happens as if the body is fighting itself.
I still have the chronic fatigue to which I have to have a cat nap with. Learning to listen to your body is quite hard. Not knowing whether a laydown or staying awake is the best thing.
I have a really sore mouth now and I am unable to put my dentures in which is really frustrating. I desperately want to eat salads instead of mashed potatoes or soft food. Hopefully the ulcers will heal quickly so I can get on with wearing the dentures. I must admit I never thought I would have dentures at the age of 46.
So apart from a mummified left leg I am plodding on. I am studying and still looking for a job which I can do from home. I am thinking of starting a little craft webpage which I can sell my cards and French knitted coasters.
I have now also published my first book called Prime Poems. One poem relates to Behcet’s Disease which I hope raises awareness on autoimmune diseases. Hence why I have been off line recently it has been extremely busy time for me.
I also have news that I will be doing a talk / presentation about my diseases to junior doctors. It is both scary and exciting I hope by discussing this with doctors will help other people and pass on how it affects me.
I do hope everyone is well and thank you for visiting.
Motto: Listen to your body more and try to except the changes

Thank you Alison for getting up and doing something especially when it must often feel like the last thing you want to do
