18th May 2015
Well now it's approaching Behcets Awareness Day,
My problems never cease and now I have a leaky leg, which is leaking clear fluid. I keep thinking "what next?"
I hope all reading this is keeping well or as well as they can. I have now finished my second round of antibiotics. I still have a cough but at least the temperature has come down and I feel a little more myself.
I now have leaflets printed in hope that I can raise more awareness for the autoimmune diseases. I also hope that a support group can be formed. I am willing to meet with people if they would like one-to-one meetings or offer possibly a monthly meeting. I feel this would help other suffers to discuss different treatments and specialists.
I have emailed the JEP in hope that they can raise awareness for the 20th May. I will keep you all posted.
This week I hope to write a letter asking local business if they can hold some leaflets about this website on their notice boards. If anyone reading this able to do this please email me directly to a_fromager@hotmail.com with a subject "leaflets".
I have taken a picture of my leg just to show how extreme the swelling has become. Whether I elevate this or sit it does not make a difference. Any suggestion? I have been told compression would not work. Also I acknowledge that I am a high risk to blood clots but how would you personally tell that there is one with the leg being so swollen? I have suffered from 2 blood clots in 2010 but didn't know until they were in my lung.
If anyone has any suggestions or need any information I will try to find out for you please just email me.
Motto: I will not become the disease I will fight each day as it comes.

Thank you Alison for getting up and doing something especially when it must often feel like the last thing you want to do
